PRESENTATION DRAWINGS
These presentation drawings were created by the Design At Home directors
to communicate the design intent of the kitchen remodel to Olive and her husband Robert.
The concept for the kitchen came out of Olive's need for more counter space to prepare large meals
and larger storage areas for her large pots and appliances. When asked about color Olive was very clear that she loved white.
Wanting to bring some color in but open up the small kitchen we chose a very light mint green for the walls. When we asked Olive
to describe the best kitchen she has ever been in she described her mothers yellow kitchen. This is where the buttery yellow color for
the back splash came from. We also noticed Olives love of roosters and incorporated that into the window treatment
and freehand painting above the oven.
The result is a clean, bright, classic kitchen for Olive to teach her grandchildren the secret to her amazing soul cookin'.
